How Much Does SEO Cost in Vancouver? 2026 Prices for Trades and Clinics

SEO in Vancouver costs anywhere from a few hundred dollars a month to more than ten thousand, and the price tells you almost nothing on its own. What matters is what the money buys: a monthly report, or the profile, review, page and link work that moves a trade or clinic into the map pack. This guide gives the 2026 ranges, what each tier includes, and our own prices so you have a real number to compare against.
The price ranges in Vancouver
| Tier | Typical monthly price | What you usually get |
|---|---|---|
| Freelancer or offshore package | $300 to $1,000 | A monthly report, some directory links, minor on-page edits. Rarely any profile or review work. |
| Local agency, small business focus | $1,000 to $4,000 | Google Business Profile management, review system, service and city pages, technical fixes, a few local links, tracking and a leads-based report. |
| Full-service agency | $4,000 to $10,000+ | The above plus content at volume, link outreach, multi-location work and dedicated account management. Built for multi-location companies and brands. |
Digital Trek’s SEO plans start at $1,500 a month, and most trade and clinic clients invest $2,000 to $4,000 depending on how many services and cities they want to rank for. There is a 90-day setup period and then month to month; no long-term contract.
What drives the price up or down
- How many cities. Ranking a plumber in Vancouver alone is one job; Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond and the North Shore is four, each needing its own page and its own reviews.
- How many services. A roofer with repair, replacement, cedar and flat roofs needs four service pages and four sets of content, not one.
- Competition in the trade. Roofing, plumbing and HVAC in Metro Vancouver are crowded; pest control and specialty trades less so. Competitive trades need more links and more content to move.
- The state of the website. A slow site with no service pages needs building before it can rank. Sometimes the honest answer is a new site first.
- Whether tracking exists. Without call tracking, nobody can prove what the SEO produced. Setting it up is part of the first month for us.
What $1,500 to $4,000 a month should buy
The 21 items in the trades SEO checklist, in order: the Google Business Profile completed and maintained; a review system that produces reviews every week; one page per service and per city, written with real prices and jobs; technical fixes and schema; a handful of real local links each quarter; content that answers the questions your dispatcher hears; and a monthly report that shows calls and forms by source, not keyword positions. If a proposal at that price does not include the profile and reviews, it is missing the two items that move the map pack.
What $500 a month buys
Usually a report and some directory links. It rarely hurts, but it rarely moves the phone, because the work that does costs more than $500 of a person’s time. The myths guide lists the promises that come with cheap packages.
How to judge whether SEO is worth the price
Work from the value of a booked job. If a roof replacement is worth $2,000 in gross profit and SEO at $2,500 a month produces three of them, the arithmetic is done. Set the cost per booked job you can accept, track calls and forms to their source, and review the number every month. Max Roofing grew from $150K to $2M in annual revenue over four years on that discipline; the case study has the numbers, and the budget guide has the method.

Frequently asked questions
How much does SEO cost per month in Vancouver?
From a few hundred dollars for a report-only package to $10,000 or more for full-service agencies. Digital Trek plans start at $1,500 a month, with most trades and clinics at $2,000 to $4,000.
Is there a one-time SEO option?
Technical setup, the profile and the first pages can be a project. Rankings are a competition that continues monthly, so a one-time package usually delivers the setup and calls it the result.
How long until SEO pays for itself?
Map pack improvements often show within 60 to 90 days; competitive organic terms take four to twelve months. Most trades run Google Ads alongside SEO for the first quarter to cover the gap.
Do you require a contract?
No long-term contract. A 90-day setup period, then month to month, and you own the website, profile and data throughout.
