Website Conversion Optimization

A website for a Vancouver trade or clinic costs between nothing and forty thousand dollars, depending on who builds it and what it is for. The useful question is narrower: what does a site cost that loads fast on a phone, has a page per service and per city, shows the phone number where a homeowner can tap it, and can be tracked to the call it produced? That site, built properly, costs $4,000 to $10,000 in 2026. Here is where the range comes from.

The options and their real prices

OptionTypical costWhat you get
Template builder, do it yourself$0 to $500 plus a monthly planA site in a weekend. Usually slow, one generic services page, hard to track, and it competes badly in a trade where everyone has one.
Freelancer$1,500 to $5,000Varies enormously. Ask for a site in your trade you can test on a phone, and who maintains it afterwards.
Agency, lead-generation build$4,000 to $12,000Service and city pages, speed, tracking, schema and the structure to rank. Digital Trek’s own range is $4,000 to $10,000.
Custom or enterprise$15,000 to $40,000+Custom design, integrations, multi-location. Rarely needed below ten trucks or three clinics.

Digital Trek builds websites for trades and clinics at $4,000 to $10,000, delivered in four to eight weeks, with the first year of maintenance included.

What moves the price inside the range

  • Number of pages. A one-service business with one city is near the bottom. A roofer with six services and five cities needs thirty pages, each written, and sits near the top.
  • Copy and photos. Writing the pages with real prices and local detail is most of the work. Real job photos from you cut the cost; stock photos cost less and lose the customer.
  • Integrations. Online booking, job-management software, live Google reviews, call tracking and form routing each add a little.
  • Migration. Moving an existing site’s posts and redirects properly, so rankings survive, takes care and time.

What a lead-generating site must have

The four-second test: the service and region in the headline, a tappable phone number with hours, one proof line, a three-field form and a real photo, all above the fold on a phone. Below it, one page per service and per city linked the way the structure guide describes, reviews on the pages, prices or ranges, licences, and the tracking setup so you can see which page produced the call. A site missing those is a brochure, whatever it cost.

The ongoing costs

  • Hosting and domain: a few hundred dollars a year for hosting that is not the cheapest plan available; the cheapest plan is why sites load in six seconds.
  • Maintenance and care: updates, backups, security and small edits. Ours is $99 a month after the first included year.
  • Content: new service or city pages as the business grows, usually inside an SEO plan rather than billed per page.

Redesign or fix?

If the current site is fast and has the right structure, fixing the top of each page and adding tracking costs a fraction of a rebuild. If it is slow, built on an old theme, or has one services page, a rebuild usually costs about the same as patching and ranks afterwards. We will tell you which on the first call, and we say “fix it” more often than owners expect.
